On Tuesday 19 June 2007, the 39 young scientists graduated from the Netherlands Institute for Health Sciences and received their Master of Science / Doctor of Science degree.
Christiane Drechsler (Germany) and Annemieke Stokvis (Netherlands), both Master of Science graduates in Clinical Epidemiology, each received a Nihes Award for having written the best research paper of their year; respectively: ’Obesity is a risk factor for decline of renal function after the start of dialysis.’ and ‘Cold intolerance in patients with a traumatic neuroma of the upper extremity.’ Each award consisted of a certificate and €500.
