The Erasmus Summer Programme emphasizes the understanding of principles and methods of quantitative medical and health research. Open to all health professions, the programme focuses on the basics common to all applied medical and health research. In addition, the programme provides courses for those particularly interested in clinical medicine, general practice and public health, as well as for epidemiologists, geneticists and biostatisticians.
The Fellowships, a key feature of the Erasmus Summer Programme, comprise three pre-designed course packages to ensure the courses seamlessly fit participant’s needs: Research training in Clinical Research, Public Health and Genetic Epidemiology. The Fellowships are intended for promising young scientists who aspire to a successful research career, who are interested in obtaining a Master’s degree in quantitative medicine or the health sciences, and wish to undertake a PhD research project.
Participants shared their research projects and aims for future initiatives. The Fellowships 2009 will be announced on the Nihes website in December this year.
