Research period
25.7 ECTS
The research training starts with formulating a research question and writing a research proposal. This proposal should include, among other things, the research objectives, the study design, the data-collection and the data-analysis procedure, and your time schedule. The research topic you choose, will determine the department or research group you will be assigned to and where you will be carrying out your research project. You are required to write two scientific papers.


SEMESTER II : January - August 2011

Research period
37.4 ECTS
During the second semester, you will finalize your research and your papers. Both papers must be approved by your tutor at the beginning of June and should be suitable for submission to an international, scientific journal.

Elective courses
2.3 to 3.7 ECTS
You may choose 8 to 13 days of electives.

Graduation Ceremony
The Nihes Graduation Ceremony takes place at the end of August. You can graduate only if the final assessment of your performance is sufficient. You assessment will be based on the examination marks of the courses you attended (50%) and on the quality of your scientific papers (50%).
