Research training for Master graduates and health professionals

If you already have prior research experience and at least a university Master’s degree in a discipline related to clinical medicine and public health, consider our one-year, full-time Master of Science programme in Health Sciences (70 ECTS). The programme is NVAO accredited (*) and has four specializations: Epidemiology, Clinical Epidemiology, Genetic Epidemiology, and Public Health.

It is possible to attend the programmes part-time as well, enabling you to combine your studies with work. You may spread the curriculum over two years or, in case of Epidemiology, Clinical Epidemiology and Genetic Epidemiology, over three consecutive summers plus two winter/spring sessions: Nihes Summer School.

You will be able to strenghten your theoretical, methodological and statistical knowledge and expertise of designing and implementing a research project. And it will enhance your professional career as a researcher, executive or advisor in, for example, public health, clinical medicine, drug research and health-policy development.

Successful completion of the programme leads to the award of a Master of Science in Health Sciences degree by the Erasmus University Rotterdam.
